Wow. Talk about a trip down memory lane: Classic Videogame Ads

I've never entered one of these before, but I'm thinking about submitting a Magic deck to
Mark's Deck Dare 2. I made my deck with the help of Crystal Keep and Card Shark.
I'll let you know if I win.

I've added a new feature to FlyingSheep.com. I've started collecting and publishing promotional codes to various online shops. Hopefully, you'll find a great deal on something you want to purchase!
As always, let me know how you like it.

Last night I watched Citizen Kane for the first time. I was afraid it would be boring and dated, but it wasn't. This is really a classic movie. The last minute scandal during the election was very reminiscing of this pas week in California.
Speaking of which, I was looking at preliminary results this morning (with something like 97% of the votes counted), and there were 127 canidates that got less votes then Gary Coleman. Boy, I'd hate to be one of them.

Session Report: October 6, 2003
Games Played: Magic, Nautilus, Frank's Zoo
Gamers: Mike, Vitas, Josh, Lewis, Eric, Sara
Thanks to everyone for coming.
MAGIC (0:46, 26 turns)
Chip: 3
Mike: 0
Mike took me up on my offer to play Magic at 6. I gave him a blue deck and played my white/black cleric deck.
This was a long battle. Mike had a number of big creatures (3 6/6 islandhome serpents and 2 5/6 fliers), and I had a lot of damage prevention. It was really anyone's game, and I'm not exactly sure how I won.
Mike's a very good player, and I look forward to playing Magic with him again sometime.
NAUTILUS (1:50 + 0:35 rules and set-up)
Vitas: 140
Mike: 99
Josh: 40
Chip: 35
This is my third time playing this game, and I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm simply not very good at it.
I got off to a really bad start. I thought I understood the timing of the turns, and I believed that I had everything planned flawlessly to take the lead in two different station types. Obviously, it didn't work out that way. I did manage to get at least two of each station, so my station multiplier was 5, but I also wasted a lot of time, resources, and poor planning trying to get the majority in one of the station types.
For most of the game I paid less attention to my board position then I should have. While Vitas, Mike, and Josh were exploring the ocean floor with their subs, I seemed to be playing a different game altogether. This is much more of a comment on my playing the game, rather then the game itself.
I managed to be very lucky in the few items that I did find in the ocean's depths. Each tile was worth 2 victory points (except for the atlantis piece which was worth 1).
It'll probably be a while before I play this game again.
FRANK'S ZOO (0:35 + 0:05 rules)
Eric: 15
Chip: 12
Mike: 9
Josh: 9
Lewis: 7
Sara: 6
Vitas: 3
Josh brought out Frank's Zoo. It's an animal-themed card game. We didn't have enough time to play more then 2 rounds. There was some confusion about the rules, but I think most people were starting to understand the game by the end of the second round.
I'd like to try this game again sometime, before deciding if I like it. It's got hedgehogs in it, so it can't be all bad.
