It seems odd that different words should be so close to each other. Let's look at a few. On the one hand, "book" and "look" are, and should be, similar. After all, you look at a book. You can use books to describe looks. Then you'd be looking at a look in a book. It's even possible, say in a beauty magazine for chefs, to look at cooks looks in a book. Or crooks and cooks. Those words are related, but it's rather hard to see how they are related. Except, of course, if you consider that most crooks steal "bread". Thieves at rock concerts might steal deadhead's bread so they can have Ed's book read to them in a red lead bed at Club Med while being fed bread by Ned (who was just wed and wants to get ahead of Fred and Ted, or so it's said).
