Wandering Path
Wandering Path
So, in writing a blog, I wanted to add a reference to a previous blog. Easy enough, right? Just find the permanent link ("permanent"? seems an odd adjective for something so clearly fleeting), and add it to the blog entry.
Well, in the process of checking out my settings (to make sure permanent links were enabled), I find a reference to Weblogs.com (which is automatically updated when I post). So, I go to check that out (it's not working yet). This is another task for another day.
However, a RSS feed that Blogger will automatically update is available.
While I'm poking around, I find a bunch of dead links (generated by an outdated customized template). So, to clean them up (and the javascript errors), I decide to replace my custom template with a more generic (not to mention "working") one. And then I spend some time tweaking.
Finally, I find the link I'm looking for. Why does everything turn into such an ordeal? (Alternatively, why am I so easily distracted?)
