We've been ad-free at FlyingSheep for years now. This may prompt you to ask how we can afford to do so? Well, that's a good question. The answer is we can't.
There are really three options at this point. The first is that everyone starts purchasing cool things at the FlyingSheep.com store, or otherwise making donations to the site. If everyone chipped in a dollar or purchased a T-shirt, there would be plenty of money to keep this site running for years.
The second option is to start placing ads on the site. Ideally, ads would be text links (no banners or intrusive flash animations), and they would be relevant to the content on the page. How bad would that be?
Finally, the third option is to shut down the site. I'm not ready to do that just yet.
So, what do you think? Email your opinion to FlyingSheep @ FlyingSheep.com. Thanks!

No hidden agenda here. This is about FlyingSheep.com. Oh sure, some thoughts may seem to have nothing to do with Flying Sheep (the more mathematical thoughts in particular come to mind), but this will be an outward expression of the thoughts of the same entity that runs FlyingSheep.com.
